15 years ago today it was wet. Warm but also wet. Today we are something like 12-18″ behind on rainfall. Isn’t it interesting the cycles nature goes through? Averages average out.
Like the rainfall, our marriage has seen various patterns. There are times when it’s easy to be in love with her. There are times when it’s work for both of us. We have been through the worse of “better or worse” but the average is pretty high.
I’m very thankful that she married me 15 years ago today. My, how things have changed.
I heard long ago that marriage is not a partnership where each partner gives 50% – to make a good marriage, each partner has to give 100% to making it work. Sounds like you two have that figured out. Congratulations – Happy 15th Anniversary. Hope it’s a wonderful day.
Happy Anniversary you two, Ive been married 10 years and it does get hard at times. But thats life, I think it gets better as you go.
Maybe it takes 75% – 75% but I think it takes a lot of stuborn. My grandparents and great grandparents were married over 60 years. My parents were married over 50 years. Mr. Caretaker and I are looking at 43 years in August. I don’t think any of us are better or worse than anyone else, except I come from very stuborn stock. When things get bad – we just refuse to give up. Of course, while it takes both people to make a marriage, it only take one to break it.
lol, I agree about the stubborn, definitely. We’ll be 23 years in August, there’s been a lot of stubbornness in that time 🙂
Happy, happy 15th anniversary! Congratulations to you both. May God continue to bless you with happiness and health. I don’t remember the day being wet, but I do remember that I made the cake. Then I made a 25th wedding anniversary cake for John and Margaret and called it quits on wedding/anniversary cakes! Too much pressure for me. 🙂
We celebrated our 35th on June 25. Believe me, the happy is more readily remembered than the not so happy. Keep building on what you’ve achieved together and you will go a long, long way. Be a shining example to your children especially, and to those who know you.
~~Rhonda 🙂
We were married on a sunny day but it rained and rained leading up to the wedding.
And, yes, you did make the cake. A frog cake. The poor bride and groom frog cake toppers have seen better days but they’re still around…somewhere.
i dont remember much rain but, I do remember a bluegrass band at the rehearsal dinner and dear family and friends who came to celebrate a very special occasion
